Hello folks, long time no see 👋

This summer, I decided to take a break from the newsletter to focus on my health, and after plenty of rest, I'm back to our regular schedule 😄.

🌟 News

Here's what we missed since our last issue!

Tailwind CSS by Example” is coming ✨

Adam announced an in-depth, real-world v4 course and it looks like its gonna be very hands on. We’re talking full flows like beautiful marketing pages, mobile-optimized UIs, and even a checkout with custom form elements, all built from scratch and pixel-perfect.

What’s extra nice is the thinking he’ll share along the way: how to break designs into composable parts, when to write custom CSS (and how), and how he approaches component APIs so you can build faster with fewer regrets. He’s targeting a fall release, with a waitlist for early previews and behind-the-scenes updates.

Dark mode is here for Tailwind Plus 🌙

This one’s been a long time coming! Every single application UI and marketing block in Tailwind Plus now has full dark mode support. Even better, there’s a handy picker that lets you toggle between light, dark, or system modes so you can grab the exact code snippet your project needs. The team really went the extra mile fine-tuning colors and hierarchy so the dark experience feels just as polished as the light one.

Designing For Neurodiversity

This is a fascinating intro to designing for neurodiversity. Instead of treating neurodivergent folks as edge cases, it argues that everyone experiences the web differently, so accessibility should be baked in from the start, not tacked on at the end. There are also a bunch of practical resources and toolkits to help you make your designs more inclusive, whether you’re thinking about dyslexia, ADHD, autism, colorblindness, or just good UX in general. If you want to build better, kinder digital experiences (and have a few new resources for your bookmark folder), this is definitely worth your time.

A Better API for the Intersection and Mutation Observers

If you’ve ever found the native ResizeObserver, MutationObserver, or IntersectionObserver APIs a bit clunky to work with then this one is for you. You'll see how to refactor those verbose setups into much simpler, reusable functions you can drop into any project. You’ll not only get practical, copy-paste-ready code for each observer (with both callback and event-based approaches), but also a clear walkthrough of their disconnect/unobserve methods and all their options, so you finally understand what’s actually happening under the hood.

Partial Keyframes

The article walks through how you can create fade-in and fade-out effects that adapt to each element’s current state, combine multiple animations on the same property, and even use CSS variables inside keyframes (seriously, you can make an animation that’s different for every element, just by setting a variable!). There’s a bunch of practical demos, a fun playground to tinker in, and some bonus tips on how to take your CSS animations to the next level.
