📚Tutorial of the week
Setting Up Tailwind CSS In A React Project — Smashing Magazine
Ok ok, enough about Tailwind UI, let’s get back to our regular programming. This week’s tutorial is probably nothing you haven’t seen before but I believe it has a special significance for the TW community. This is the first ever article Smashing Magazine has published about TailwindCSS, and they’re known in the community for having great content and a very wide reach, can’t get any more mainstream than Smashing Magazine folks!
💅Showcase of the week
Beam - Help a homeless person train and get into work
I admit it, I’m a sucker for non-profit work, but not only that, I’m also a sucker for a clean and nicely designed website, and beam is both! Being made with tailwind is just the cherry on top.
They do know how to rock a nice yellow color, reminds me a lot about Wes Bos’ stuff 😂.
🎁Resource of the week
iamcco/coc-tailwindcss: tailwindcss class name completion for (neo)vim
This week’s resource might be a bit esoteric but I’m pretty sure we all know (or have known) a developer who swears Vim is the best thing since sliced bread. And they probably know someone who ditched Vim a while ago and it’s in love with neovim (Vim’s younger brother). For those folks, I have great news, tailwind auto complete is finally a reality with this plugin!
Be sure to thank iamcco for making tailwind more accessible to that userbase!
